The story begins when he and his friends (not normal people) unexpectedly pick up a baby to raise. Anyway, I still want to see how Honda tried to deal with foreign customers in this anime, though it is not a 'must-watch' series in your mind. Thanks for your review! It is the culture for women to be shy and demure and the men being providers and protectors. I actually enjoyed the true love the was represented in this story between WeiWei and Xiao Nai. I absolutely despised Cao Guang. He was truly a horrible person in thoughts and actions. And Erxi was too much after the entire series. Her voice and actions were to over the top. As for another good series, watch Boss and Me also on Netflix. I highly recommend it. I don't know that we have a stated rule that the ending could be discussed regardless, but that's generally what ended up happening. If I go to a meeting without finishing the book, I probably don't intend to finish it anyway, so I don't mind if the ending gets discussed. There was one meeting where one of the guys sheepishly admitted he'd only read the Cliff's Notes for the book (Stranger in a Strange Land, which I also didn't finish - even the people who'd read the book before and remembered enjoying it generally agreed it hasn't aged well).A Library Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06144279685884011943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2094562384038868734.post-55058598890909357432022-02-01T21:31:49.770-06:002022-02-01T21:31:49.770-06:00Another book that was on the Texas Bluebonnet Awar...Another book that was on the Texas Bluebonnet Award reading list - but this one won. If you showed up to the meeting, it was assumed you'd either read the book or would not be upset by spoilers. It is not fair to those who have finished the book before the meeting to withhold discussing the ending (or any part of the book, for that matter) just because some people haven't finished it. I will warn that it’s a BL (in case you’re not into that). However, the show is not centered around BL (bc it’s a drama and Netflix), but rather the actual story unfolding. It’s very interesting, it’s based on the MDZS novel. Even my dad got into it!
I will say that yes, about the first 30 episodes are a flashback (and they’re in order) that build up to the preview shown in the first 5 minutes. Everyone that watches it get confused because you’re wondering if the next episode is a flashback too, and yes it is! It’s quite heart-wrenching, so while it’s funny and interesting, it has really good drama. orpheushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12510238519490621458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2094562384038868734.post-83033160397784129492021-10-06T21:31:32.645-05:002021-10-06T21:31:32.645-05:00Yeah, I didn't like this book either. The manuscript my agent and I handed off to the publisher was a really good story. As a rookie, I let it get gutted in editing, and as a result, you get what you got. Thanks for reading, though, and I hope it entertained you a bit.

PS: The lesson I learned with this book is to trust yourself. Don’t be afraid to speak up when you know you’re right. I find I actually "read" less now that I am retired, but mostly because I no longer listen to audiobooks. So I switched to GDPR-compliant MailChimp (free if your subscriber list is small). I used the tool in Feedburner to download the subscribers list in CSV, and then e-mailed the very few that were actually active subscribers, asking them to either re-subscribe with the new widget I put on the blog from MailChimp, or to give me permission to add them (MailChimp has a way you can do that). I see I still have a few active subscribers in FeedBurner (although I only recognize one!), so I am going to repeat that.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09902380558583190500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2094562384038868734.post-75574246848328515912021-01-11T09:16:47.650-06:002021-01-11T09:16:47.650-06:00It could be worse, I suppose - I can afford to pay...It could be worse, I suppose - I can afford to pay the bills (although I'm still waiting to find out how high the last couple are), and it looks like the cause of the problem has been taken care of.
