They'd have had to do a reboot, at least from the end of the first season on.A Library Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06144279685884011943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2094562384038868734.post-82080309849764134962016-03-16T17:29:05.588-05:002016-03-16T17:29:05.588-05:00I LOVE Black butler.
I feel that Ciel looks better...I LOVE Black butler.
I feel that Ciel looks better in the Anime so Adorable!! every other member to me looks better in the Manga. Also I advise anyone who wants to read Black Butler to but them and not read them online, because I did that. After I brough 2 Volumes of the Black Butler managa the first volume and the 6th I notice that what I read on online was NOT the same not even close to what is on the Manga. Also I actually saw the Anime first since I did not know it was a manga at that time. Just remember the Anime and Manga are 2 totally different concepts. Now after reading the Manga the Anime episodes feel over the place. Things do get a LOT darker later on. And pretty much any scene with Sebastian and Grell in it is a winner.

Considering what you've said about your tastes, you should probably avoid Ouran High School Host Club like the plague. The Artemis Fowl series might or might not be to your tastes, hard to tell. Definitely try Godchild, though - that one also has a sequel called Count Cain. I haven't read any of it yet, so I'm not really sure what it's like. Another good anime/manga with dark humor is Hellsing, although with that one I tend to prefer the anime. It fairly drips with style, and Alucard (the main character) is awesome.A Library Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06144279685884011943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2094562384038868734.post-89609306280496414242013-03-14T16:33:39.703-05:002013-03-14T16:33:39.703-05:00Wow, you consider this series light? It has haunted and disturbed me deeply and yet I keep being drawn back to it--I even have a Sebastian tee shirt! However, I find that most of the humour with the servants, though well-intentioned, falls flat a lot of the time. I'm hoping that the manga will flesh them out a bit. Of course, I do not really know what is normal here...Vol 1 is the first manga I've ever read--I'm pretty new to the whole anime thing too, having avoided it mostly because so many shows have annoying chirpy big-eyed girls as main characters (Fruits Basket...ugh) lol. To me it is the wicked humour of Sebastian and of course Grell's histrionics that make this show so bloody funny. Of the ones I have seen so far, Black Butler is my favourite, for its dark humour, good storyline, and of course the gorgeous art and characters.
Not sure if I'd like the Host Club one, not being a fan of the harem type anime, but I will have to try Godchild and Artemis Fowl. I have sold a million copies of the Artemis Fowl books without having a clue what they were about, and it sounds like I've been really missing out!
Anyway, thanks so much for your review. I've really enjoyed it :)Aurelashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14389210092678735334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2094562384038868734.post-59226275023236479782010-12-27T09:04:39.133-06:002010-12-27T09:04:39.133-06:00Oh my God, you must watch Black Butler II. Well, e...Oh my God, you must watch Black Butler II. Well, except for maybe the ending, which kind of sucks for Sebastian. See, they haven't actually changed the butler, but things don't really become clear until a few episodes in. If you're a Sebastian fan, you will absolutely LOVE parts of Black Butler II - you get to see Sebastian when he's insanely jealous! :)A Library Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06144279685884011943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2094562384038868734.post-74269987595087980442010-12-27T00:42:29.236-06:002010-12-27T00:42:29.236-06:00Sebastian rocks my socks..I haven't touched BB...Sebastian rocks my socks..I haven't touched BB II..why have they change the butler..arghhhh!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
